South Dakota Couple Claims $200,000 Powerball Prize
Great news for this Custer couple, congratulations on your powerball results…
Roger and Toni Smith of Custer arrived at the Pierre Lottery office recently to claim the $200,000 Powerball prize they won in the Saturday, January 17th powerball drawing. Roger regularly buys Powerball ticket for each drawing, but late Saturday realized he hadn’t bought any for the drawing that night. Roger asked his wife Toni if she was feeling lucky. “I do feel lucky,” Toni said, and she headed to the Common Cents in Custer and bought ten quick pick Powerball tickets. The couple was having coffee when they read the winning numbers in the paper on Sunday morning. Toni calmly said to her husband, “We didn’t get the Powerball, but we got the rest of them.”
